Professional Learning Assistant (PLA)


Children with special needs may not be able to adapt to the environment of a conventional school.


Besides support from parents and teachers, they may require the services of professionals who are trained in the field of child adaptation and social behaviour in school.


In parallel with Zone of Proximal Development and Scaffolding of Vygotsky's cognitive development theory, we believe that they are able to achieve a better understanding of the external with sufficient help and guidance from a trained professional.


Our PLAs are usually carefully selected from a pool of graduates from the field of mental health and education. They are then provided with a basic understanding of child psychology, fundamental values of human interaction, and tactful methods of handling a child with special needs.


Equipped with knowledge and skills in managing children, the PLAs are set out to make a difference, one child at a time.
