About the Event

Trauma is an experience of powerlessness when our physical and/or psychological integrity is threatened. During this 3-day workshop Anthea Millar will present guidance in safe trauma work particularly addressing therapy with those w ho have experienced sexual abuse and sexual violence. There will be a focus on body awareness regulation, maintaining dual awareness, and building on strengths and resources. The sessions will aim to create a safe group process, with brief lectures, experiential exercises, and practical demonstrations. There will also be a practical exploration around the crucial need for practitioner self-care.

** This workshop is prioritised for mental health practitioners that are currently working with clients with trauma.
